Barton Creek Resort is perhaps one of my longest standing relationships with wedding vendors, along with my absolute favorite wedding florist Verbena Floral Design. And I must say that it’s a wonderful team to work with. Everything comes together in a visual style that no one can match. In fact, every wedding I have captured at Barton Creek Resort is nothing less than spectacular.

When Nikki and Colin told me about having their wedding at the new Rock House at Barton Creek Resort, I was more than excited. It was a new part of the resort that I had yet to work at, which means a very exciting opportunity as a photographer. And despite the tremendous heat of the day, Colin and Nikki pulled it off in the most stunning way possible. Of course, a little help from Barton Creek and Verbena Floral Design added just the right touch of atmosphere and color.
Nikki and Colin met through mutual friends in 2011, but it was not until they attended a wedding in the spring of 2012, where Nikki was maid of honor and Colin the best man, that they got to know each other and realized they had so much in common. As the old saying goes, you find love when least expected, and that was certainly the case. Though they lived in different states, the couple knew almost immediately that they were meant to be together.
Colin logged about a million frequent flyer miles that summer visiting Nikki in Austin, and that fall there was no doubt that Nikki should relocate to Charlotte, where they now live happily with Cameron, Colin’s 13 year old daughter, and Toby, the family dog.
