Why I love teaching wedding photography

It’s been almost 15 years since I partnered with Precision Camera and taught my first wedding photography class. I thought that after all this time, I’d know everything there is to know about shooting weddings. But you know what I love most about teaching? There’s always more I can learn. Even the students give me ideas on new ways to shoot great images. I think it’s honestly the exchange of ideas with my workshop students that I really enjoy. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣Honestly, yeah that is my favorite part of it. Building a community for photographers that would otherwise be left all on their own. Who says we can’t come together and share knowledge and ideas? To help one another and grow together? Oh, and the models and venues… yeah working with them is also another of my favorite things about teaching. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣Have you attended a workshop before? If so, which was your favorite? Or did you not enjoy it. I’m always trying to improve my class experience for my students. So any ideas you can throw my way, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks, guys!!
